The North Branford Rotary Club helped clean up part of the Farm River on October 18, 2008. The event was co-sponsored by Trout Unlimited.

Before work started, members of the NBRC gathered at the office of PE Fran Merola, Public Works Director, North Branford. Mukund brought Ambassadorial Scholar Chloe who actively participated in the work. Rotarians, family members and friends enjoyed fellowship and were fortified for an arduous day with a hot breakfast cooked by Chef Extraordinaire Ed Pikaart.

Several teams then went to work. Among the items removed from the river and the bank were several bottles, plastic items, several tires, parts of trucks, and even a treadmill.
